Structure, amount of testing and many other aspects of
software has important relation with software
reliability. Based on operation profile (all operations
of the application like inputs, action event etc),
testing can provide statistical sampling method to get
failure data.
We are trying to make software testing a science but still it is an art and software testing is not mature yet. We are still using more than twenty year old testing technique which are contained crafted methods rather than good engineering methods. Software testing can be costly but it is necessary especially in such application that directly relates to human lives. Solution of software testing problem can never be easier all time and we can not sure about the 100 % correctness of any software. |
